  • How can I identify if my Beko Fridge Freezer is an affected model?

    The models affected are listed below and were manufactured between January 2000 and October 2006. The model number and serial number of your fridge freezer will help to identify if your model is affected. These numbers can be found on the rating plate on the inside of the fridge compartment. The serial number is 10 or 12 digits long. The first 2 digits of the serial number give the year of production. Please contact us if your models serial number begins with any of the following: 00 01 02 03 04 05 06 Please input this information into the online checker and we will be able to let you know if your product is affected.

  • Where can I find the model and serial number on my Fridge Freezer?

    There is a rating plate located on the inside of the appliance door. The Model and Serial number should be clearly marked. If you have any problems locating this plate please contact our Support team on 0800 917 2018 in England, Scotland and Wales, 0800 023 4254 in Northern Ireland, or 1800 252925 in Eire.   • What do I do if my model is affected?

    If it is confirmed that you have an affected fridge freezer, we will arrange for one of our trained engineers to visit your home to make the necessary modification. This modification is straightforward and should take no more than half an hour to complete. It will not affect the appearance or performance of your product and is completely free of charge.

  • Is it safe for me to continue using my Fridge Freezer?

    If you have an affected model, please unplug the product immediately and contact Beko on 0800 917 2018 in the UK or 1800 25 29 25 in Eire. Our call centers are able to provide assistance in English only.

  • Do I need the Fridge repaired?

    We are urging customers to contact us if they have an affected model. A modification is required to remove a small potential risk. It will not affect the performance of your fridge and will not be visible when complete. It will be carried out within your home completely free of charge.

  • How long will it take to modify?

    About 30 minutes and will be completely free of charge.

  • Who will undertake the repairs?

    Our trained engineers will carry out the modification in the UK and Eire.

  • Who is taking responsibility for any potential damage during the repairs?

    Our engineers are used to working on products in customers’ homes and are fully insured.

  • Is this a permanent solution?

    Yes.

  • Will the modification affect my warranty and / or the product performance?

    The modification will not affect the warranty or have any negative impact on performance.

  • Will I be able to see the modification on the product?

    Because the component affected is located at the back of the fridge, in most cases customers will not see it. It does not affect the aesthetic of the product.

  • Can we arrange an out of hours and/or a weekend appointment?

    Repairs will be carried out during normal working hours Monday to Friday.

  • If I need to take time off work etc. how will I be compensated?

    We will do our best to make the modification on a working day convenient to you. Unfortunately we cannot provide compensation for time taken off work. We appreciate there may be some inconvenience but we are doing this as part of our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety for you as a customer.

  • Am I able to repair this myself or use a local engineer/repairer?

    As this is safety related, it is important that our own trained engineers carry out this work.

  • What guarantees will you provide and what confidence will I have that the product is safe after the modification?

    The modification has been tested and approved by an independent European test house, We are confident it is safe and the modification will come with a 1 year warranty.

  • Will the person carrying out the modification carry out other repairs?

    No, the person carrying out the modification will visit for that sole purpose. Any other repairs that are required will be carried out separately under the terms of your warranty.

  • What about if I want a replacement product or a full refund?

    Once the modification has been carried out, the product performance will not be affected, therefore a replacement or refund is not appropriate.

  • Are these products independently tested?

    These products were independently tested before being placed on the market and met all UK and European safety standards when the products were sold.

    We do not place any products on the market that do not conform to European safety standards and which have not passed independent safety testing.
